ClimAccelerator launches in Asia-Pacific: join the region's first programme!

ClimAccelerator (powered by Climate KIC, Europe’s leading climate innovation agency and community) is a global programme for startups to innovate, catalyse and scale the potential of their climate solutions. It brings together the force of a diverse, global, connected community with a strong knowledge base and support system for sourcing, selecting and training entrepreneurs on their journey.

Over the past 15 years, Climate KIC has been a major climate innovation solution provider, supporting more than 2,100 start ups across the globe and securing more than €2 billion in funding via the ClimAccelerator.

The AgriTech ClimAccelerator Singapore is powered by Better Earth Ventures, which has supported 350+ startups who have raised more than $500m USD in funding.

Why Now?

With Asia-Pacific home to over 60% of the world’s population (UNFPA) and some of the most climate-vulnerable agricultural regions, there is a growing need for climate-smart agritech solutions that enhance food security, resilience, and sustainability.

The region faces intensifying climate risks, including extreme weather, declining arable land, and water scarcity, which could reduce agricultural productivity by 15% to 20% by 2050, with some crops potentially experiencing up to a 50% decrease (ADB).

At the same time, Asia-Pacific is currently experiencing increasing demand for agrifood innovation, with investment in agritech startups surpassing $8 billion in 2023 (Asia-Pacific AgriFoodTech Investment Report 2024).

Why Apply?

The programme is scouting for startups from Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Anchored in Singapore, the programme offers resources, networks, capital access, climate impact measurement, and connections to top investors and industry experts.

Startup applications are open for solutions at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or above, featuring validated prototypes ready for real-world testing. Eligible applicants must be registered entities in one of the six target markets. They should be at the pre-seed stage or beyond, demonstrating traction, early commercial validation, or a clear scaling pathway.

Selected startups will gain access to strategic resources, industry connections, funding opportunities, and expert guidance to measure and enhance their climate impact. Participants will collaborate with leading investors, corporate partners, and agrifood innovation networks to accelerate growth.

Our Criteria

Ready to elevate your startup? Our programme empowers early-stage companies primed for growth and innovation. If you meet our eligibility criteria, we'd love to hear from you!

We welcome applications from female and minority founders, championing Gender Equality and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).

  • Must be at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4 or higher.

  • Startups with a proven MVP and early traction, ready to leverage market access, investor connections, and growth opportunities.

  • Must be a registered business in one of the geographic-focused countries listed, with no more than 5 years since incorporation.

  • Open to companies incorporated in Singapore, Australia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and New Zealand.

  • A minimum of 2 core team members must be committed to the programme.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • The programme is equity-free and there is no participation fee. However, startups are responsible for funding their own travel and accommodation for Bootcamp 1 in Singapore and the final Demo Day.

    The Better Earth Ventures team can assist in sourcing grants, sponsorships, and group discounts to help reduce costs.

  • The programme does not provide direct funding, but startups will gain exclusive access to investors, grants, and funding opportunities through our ecosystem.

  • The programme is open to early-stage and growth-stage agritech startups that are developing climate-focused solutions for food and agriculture. Startups should have a validated prototype (TRL 4+), a clear impact methodology, and be at pre-seed stage or beyond with early traction or commercial validation.

  • For our inaugural cohort, we welcome applications from startups incorporated in: Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

  • Yes, applicants must have a registered business entity in one of the six target countries.

  • The programme runs for 6 months, from July to December, with a mix of virtual and in-person components. Key milestones include:
